LimSee3 Trialling- Paris, January 24, 2008 |
A LimSee3 trialling was jointly organised by ePrep and INRIA Rhône-Alpes at Lycée Henri IV, in Paris, on January 24, 2008. On this occasion, ePrep CoP members were invited to build a multimedia module, including texts, pictures, video and audio recordings, thanks to the last version of LimSee3, a multimedia authoring tool based on extensive use of templates and adaptable user interface developed in the framework of the PALETTE project.
This trialling took place after several “design-in-use” sessions involving PALETTE researchers and ePrep CoP members for the production of a real multimedia history course for “Hypokhâgne” students at Lycée Henri IV. An example of such sessions was the recording of the course at Lycée Henri IV, on October 17, 2007
Thirteen participants attended the LimSee3 trialling on January 24.

Internal training - Liège 8-9 October 2007 |
PALETTE Participatory Design in action
The two days seminar centered on the use the Amaya tool and the SweetWiki service organised on 8 and 9th October in Liège was a great success. It offered the opportunity to mediators and validators of PALETTE's CoPs, members of three CoPs, developers and pedagogical partners to concretely live the PALETTE participatory design approach in a faithful way to what was envisioned at PALETTE's kick off meeting, twenty months ago.

INTERNAL SEMINARS
The first Palette Summer School was held at the University of Fribourg, Did@ctic Center, 26-28 June 2006. The school was a plenary face to face meeting attended by all Palette partners.
Several more specific internal trainings also occurred during the previous months. For instance , one occured in March 2007 in Liège, was dedicated to the “CoPs mediators” and aimed at making them participate in the development and assessment of scenarios presenting situations and uses of Palette services.
A plenary face to face meeting is foreseen in June in Lausanne, where various presentations and discussions related to Palette thematics will be held. All Palette partners will be invited to participate.
AWARENESS SEMINARS
ePrep has organised a training for its members in Paris on 2nd June 2007. This training focused on tools developed in the framework of the PALETTE project: e-Logbook (developped by EPFL), SweetWiki (developped by INRIA Sophia Antipolis), Amaya (developped by INRIA Rhône-Alpes) and LimSee3 (developped by INRIA Rhône-Alpes).
ONLINE SEMINARS
All the training resources produced within Palette will be available online through a dedicated learning management system. A direct access to this platform will be provided by the end of the summer.
